Databases Microsoft SQL Server is an industry standard database management system that allows data to be stored centrally on a server. Computers can connect to the server and access/manipulate the data via a local network or over the internet. It can be easily integrated with other Microsoft products, such as Visual C++ and Visual Basic for developing Windows programs, and Active Server Pages for creating interactive websites. Data on the server can also be accessed from within Microsoft products like the spreadsheet program Excel and the database program Access. Whitespace also has significant experience of Oracle. A number of our customers have commissioned us to improve the efficiency of existing Oracle applications and to integrate Oracle data into external applications, including a system which looks at Oracle and SQL Server simultaneously. Whitespace have also developed their own proprietary database system, written in C/C++ which has been used in several major projects. If you would like more information please contact Lucy Jaffé. |
