Until Andrew Copeland bought SCHEMATIC from Whitespace, they used spreadsheets and a small database to sell and process policies. Alex Fudger who has been there since 1993 recalls hours spent tracking sales and client records to ensure that customer service standards were met.  When they chose SCHEMATIC, they were looking for a system designed for their specialist broking business. Most importantly, they liked the way Whitespace listened carefully to what they needed before trying to sell them anything.

 

Andrew Copeland needed to run four specialist schemes alongside each other with front end quote screens, rating engine and policy production all maintaining a common business branding. Each scheme requires the collection of different sets of data and a separate rate calculation before a premium quote can be produced.

 

Whitespace staff sat down with Alex and his colleagues to customise the system design they required for maximum efficiency and transparency.  As a result, Alex and his team process more policies in a shorter period of time. The Board can produce claims and risk information accurately and flexibly. Furthermore, they have peace of mind in knowing that they can show the FSA that sales procedures have been followed.
