Whitespace Software Celebrates their 25th Anniversary

Whitespace Software is 25 years young and is celebrating this at the Airmic Conference in Manchester on their Claimsuite stand.

To celebrate this Silver Jubilee, Whitespace and the Claimsuite Team will be offering Airmic attendees a birthday goodie bag, filled with all the essentials of the best party bags of 25 years ago. One lucky winner will also find a voucher to choose an animal to sponsor at London Zoo. The choice of animals ranges from Aardvarks to Meerkats.

Andrew Sedcole, Managing Director of Whitespace Software, said:
"The theme of the conference is 'Influencing Outcomes' and as a company that is what our software has enabled many organisations around the world to achieve. It seems fitting therefore that we celebrate with some of those clients and friends at the show."
Come to Airmic Stand 51 and see if you can guess what other momentous events also began in 1985 - the year of the first mobile phone call in the UK and the launch of the first ever Windows software.

Specialist Claimsuite for Brokers

Whitespace Software are launching a new web-based claims management package aimed specifically at Insurance Brokers. Claimsuite for Brokers has evolved out of long term consultation with brokers and their specific software and business needs.

Claimsuite for Brokers offers brokers a product customised with their logo and branding, and allows them to offer their clients the personal touch that both retains and wins business.

Andrew Sedcole, MD of Whitespace, says:
"Whitespace pride themselves on their their partnering approach to all of their clients, and work on an assumption that no two clients have exactly the same needs. Claimsuite for Brokers retains this thinking allowing the client to generate a large range of rules and reports specific to their business needs."
"In recent times we have noticed a trend for brokers to seek to offer a level of service to their clients that makes them stand out from the crowd. Certainly, offering a white-labelled claims management software solution is a route that many brokers are exploring. Research has shown us that many brokers would consider our white label Claimsuite for Brokers as a value-added service that brokers can offer their clients.” Traditionally the costs involved have been prohibitive for many firms who operate on very tight margins, however the low entry costs and our innovative ‘Pay As You Go’ charging basis has made Claimsuite for Brokers a much more viable option for many of our clients who might have baulked at traditional pricing models."
Claimsuite for Brokers will be available from the close of BIBA 2010 and is available for demonstration now.

Jonathan Ling, FD of Whitespace, says:
"We are excited to introduce Claimsuite for Brokers particularly because of the novel pricing structure. By working closely with our clients on current and projected income and linking this to our pricing, we feel we are offering a true partnership arrangement with a win, win for both parties."

Prize Winning Programmers

Whitespace Software is proud of their latest award winning programmers. Congratulations to Pierre Henry who has solved a particularly tricky SQL coding conundrum at SQLServerCentral.com and despite strong competition was awarded the prize of a $100 voucher from Amazon.

Congratulations are also in order to our senior SQL Programmer Chris Stobbs, who has won another programming competition and consequently is about to zoom off on a five day 5* holiday.

Pierre is a senior member of the Claimsuite Team within Whitespace Software, and is currently working on some exciting new developments utilising his SQL knowledge and expertise. Chris, another senior SQL programmer of the Claimsuite Team, is a specialist in SQL code optimisation improving the user experience for all of our Claimsuite clients.

Whitespace Goes Up in the World

Whitespace has had to move. We haven’t gone far - just up in the World by relocating to the Third Floor in our current building.

To celebrate this move, we hired interior designer Mary Ann Chatterton to design a complete office refurbishment. Mary said:
"With the new interior design, I sought a look that would meet the client's wish for a retro feel and in which the company's own pieces of art and distinctive contemporary furniture would fit comfortably. I chose a modern twist on a range of hues and patterns from the 1950s and early 1960s: vibrant, colourful and geometric, they are strongly redolent of that previous great age of confident, technological progress."
We are very proud of the results, what do you think?

Whitespace Supports the Homeless

In keeping with our charitable giving policy, the directors of Whitespace have decided that instead of sending out gifts and cards this festive season we will support 3 special charities instead.
With a theme of homelessness the three charities selected are:
  • The Salvation Army
  • Shelter
  • The shelter at the church in St Martin-in-the-Fields
Each charity will be receiving a gift aid of £1,000, as advertised in the 14/12/09 edition of the Metro newspaper - Read Advert. It is hoped that the contributions will make a difference to homeless people both locally within the Covent Garden area and around the country.
