Agent Declarations could this be you?

Whitespace have calculated that collectively, in the UK broker community, you are spending hundreds of staff years administering Agent declarations. Our experience of dealing with broker systems has brought us into direct contact with Managing Directors who are trying to curb expenditure. Many of them identify the rekeying of information as the top administrative crime of our times.

To reduce administrative time by up to 80%, we recommend one of the following steps:

Spreadsheet

Whitespace client, Premia, receives spreadsheets notifying them of new business from each Agent. Premia’s import wizard can cope with different declaration formats, which gives the Agent more freedom. A spreadsheet is created at the end of each import routine, which reports on invalid rows or missing mandatory information.

Emails

Animal Friends receives new policy details by email, which are then copied and pasted into SCHEMATIC, their back office system from Whitespace. They press a button and a policy is created.

Web

Abbey Tax has designed a web-based system with Whitespace to keep a track of the number of policyholders online. The data is then passed to the back office system where it is imported via a number of checks and validations. In appropriate circumstances, web data can be input into the back office system directly.

Validation

Human checks and balances will always be appropriate at some stage in the exchange of data, but these can be reduced dramatically by introducing digital data exchange. Furthermore the onus of inputting data can shift to your Agents and you can use your resources to bring in new business rather than processing existing sales.
