WHITESPACE SOFTWARE LIMITED

Press Release – 30th April 2002

Whitespace Software launches XML Service

Whitespace Software Limited has launched ‘XML Service’, for the development and delivery of systems using XML as a core technology.  Prior to launching this new service, Whitespace completed two XML projects for current clients.  The company has also invested in training and internal quality control processes.

"We are committed to mastering a technology before using it widely," commented Jonathan Clarke, Managing Director.  "We have now reached that stage with XML."

Whitespace expects to use XML as a transport medium within and between systems, in order to ensure data integrity.  It will also be used in conjunction with XSL (eXtensible Stylesheet Language), as a way of manipulating and displaying data.

"XML and XSL work very well together," said Jonathan Clarke. "However, the devil is in the detail - we've never before written a line of code which ends with six different punctuation marks!"
