FSA Compliant trading platform success story

Select and Protect released their FSA compliant trading platforms on 7th January 2005, a week before General Insurance Day. Agents reported that the platforms, known as Sprite and Spook, were the best amongst their competitors.

Agents reported that several companies had severe problems on General Insurance Day. Some companies could not even provide a quote on 14th January. Sprite was noteworthy for the ease of registration it offered Agents.

80% of Select and Protect’s business is submitted electronically via systems written by Whitespace Software so the importance of the release was paramount to both Select and Protect and their Agents.

An example of the changes made to the systems is the audit trail. This proves that a customer has been offered a choice of products by recording the number of seconds a screen is viewed during a policy sale. For more details contact the people below.

Bob Bruce, Select and Protect’s Senior IT Manager said, “Whitespace pulled out all the stops to help us get the FSA release early, and this enabled us to get our compliant product up and running ahead of our competitors.”
