THE RENAISSANCE CLUB CELEBRATES IN STYLE
The
Renaissance Club, an exclusive, Internet-based private members' club, has just
celebrated its first anniversary at a spectacular party at the Hammersmith
Palais. The club's website
(Rclub.co.uk) was developed by Whitespace Software Limited, and has been highly
successful, attracting over 1,400 members in the first year.
The
uniqueness of the club lies in its ability to offer members online access to
exclusive events (varying from elephant polo to wine tasting!) and to
substantial discounts from selected outlets.
Because it deals directly with the companies involved, it undercuts all
other concierge companies in London.
Over
1,200 people attended the anniversary party, which included free drinks for an
hour and a half. The guests were
entertained by Shovel from M People, Karen from Transfer, and Baby Clyde - with
Chek 1 acting as the DJs. David
Johnstone, Managing Director of the Renaissance Club, says: "As an online
club, we were able to organise the event through the web, using Whitespace's
excellent software and back-office system.
This meant that the whole party - from the idea to the event itself -
was organised in just three weeks!"
Whitespace
is continuing to develop and enhance the website in conjunction with website
designers, The Family, to meet the varying needs of the club's members. David Johnstone continues: "The site is
very secure for credit card transactions, and members can access it from
anywhere in the world - easily and quickly.
Following on from the success of the London-based site, we now want to
start taking the club to different cities throughout the world, with the help
of Whitespace. We are confident that it
will go from strength to strength - and the more members we attract, the better
deals we can offer."
